I don't know what anyone wants to know. I figured everyone pretty much knew all about Razor Edge by now. I know it was started by Dave Wilson, he was with Jeannie Howe for about 10 years, her and dave worked and owned dogs together, Jeannie and Dave split up a few years ago, and she has pretty much gotten out of dogs except for having Knuckles and a son of Cairo's last breeding. After Jeannie and Dave split up, Knuckles lived with us for a couple of years while Jeannie got back on her feet. I don't know alot of what is going on with the new Razor Edge breedings, but I do know the old dogs and the older breeders. Romeo was used in the old Razor Edge, he is the dog on the front of the bully breed magazine. I came in when they were still showing and it wasn't like it is now.

jbh thanks for the info !

yeah not everyone knows about the RE line actually most of the "old style" dog people or the OFRN people know little about the line but what they have heard "mostly the bad stuff"
now i saw that Knuckles had some stuff going on as far as placement here recently.. not sure what is up with that i am a member of the MSN Gaff board, there was some stuff said on there .
I can say that i have seen some VERY nice OLD RE pedigree stuff here in Michigan that i am fond of =0)

Knuckles is very dog aggressive to other males. Cairo was Jeannie's baby, losing him really hurt her, so she took a male, Noble, off of his last litter. In the meantime, her and Dave split up and she moved to an apartment where she could only have one dog. She needed somewhere for one of them to stay, and we offered to help her and take Knuckles. Nobles was just a puppy, he needed to be with her and Knuckles was easier to take care of...lol He was with us for about 2 years, then Jeannie thought she had a place where he could stay with her, but that didn't work out so he stayed with Warren Shaw for a while, Jeannie and Warren have been friends from way back. The girl that has Knuckles now, had asked her to let him stay with her for a while as a companion while Jeannie got on her feet, she lived alone and loved Knuckles, I know Jeannie had mentioned it even when we had him, she was a friend of hers. I don't know, I guess Jeannie gave in and figured he would be able to live there on the couch like he thinks he should, from what I can remember, she didn't have any other dogs at the time. I don't know what happened after that other than what I have been told. But I know, Jeannie would never have let him go there if she knew any of this was going to happen. That dog is her pride and joy, he is great, such a personality. It has always been Jeannie's intention to have Knuckles back with her, I know she has worked towards having a place big enough for both Nobles and Knuckles, sometimes, things just take longer than you plan. I know he was not "given" to whoever has him now, she would never "give" that dog away.
You know, sometimes good people fall on hard times and bad people take advantage of them.

I have never really been a huge fan for the most part of what Dave is doing, but i have to say that their are a select few breedings that i did like. I was very fond of the breeding Cairo was out of. I also really liked the Sadie's Paddingtong/Knuckles breeding that took place.

Because the dogs don't become Ch and Gr Ch in APBT shows. They gain their titles from Bully shows and the ABKC as American Bullies.

No, Knuckles is a UKC GRCH and AKC CH, there were no such things as bully shows when he was showing, he is 10+ years old now

You know, this thread is about Razors Edge and not how you feel about them. I know being a UKC GRCH takes a lot of time and work and dedication, just like ADBA does, no reason to put down the dogs or the people showing them.

Here is an exact quote from Dave Wilson on the RE bloodline and why i have a problem with the UKC.

"We blended different breeds together to obtain certain desired traits. The American pit bull terrier was one of the breeds whose lineage is in the background of this breed, but it is by no means the only breed behind it. Even the part of the lineage that is American pit bull terrier stems from United Kennel Club-registered conformation show dogs! There is also an American Kennel Club-registered show breed in the lineage of this breed called the American Staffordshire terrier. Some breeders even included some bulldog lineage into their breeding. This breed has been established for over 10 years now."

This is part of the reason why I'm trying to get in contact with him... There is alot of "drama" surrounding the RE dogs and I'd rather go directly to the source rather than go off of what people say he said, know what I mean?

Remember, these topics are here for educational purposes so dont turn this into a blood bashing. We all have our opinions but please keep it civil...I'm by no means a fan of most of the RE dogs but to ech his own.

the old line is nice, there is a great AKC line out there, that is what Gamble is, he is AKC, and he is a nice boy. I don't know aobut the new stuff, Jimmy worked with Dave on a couple of things and then we got more into weight pull and went in different directions with dogs. On the dangerzone post, I put up Billy and Ruby, they are out of Knuckles. Ruby was the only APBT at the 2005 UKC Premier to get Total Dog, she was BOW on Saturday, and placed in weight pull. Billy is in WA, he goes to some shows, but his owner doesn't have alot of time for travel and there aren't many close to her. The other dog in the litter is in NC and will soon be weight pulling with UKC.

Mind the problem i have with that statement is that Dave Wilson has said that the dogs aren't APBT's. So regardless of how much they look like the standard they aren't. They are a different breed. They are American Bullies.
