as the saying goes though, always expect an APBT to be an APBT.

Yes.....and I agree you need to have a little education. If you plan on having more than one dog, you need to know what can happen and be prepared to handle the situation. You also need to be aware of your dog's surroundings at ALL times. But I think that goes for all dogs not just a bulldog, APBT, or a gamebred dog. It is all about being an educated and responsible owner.

They can make some of the best pets. Like an APBT from any other breeding it depends on the individual dog. I don't find a huge difference between simple game bred vs other breeding, I find differences between different breedings/lines themselves even within the same type. Like show bred there are differences in the lines, some are good pets or better pets for most people then others. Same with game bred, pull bred, ect.

I personally would never own a game bred dog. I have plenty experience with the breed and fully agree to the old say "never trust a APBT not to fight" but I fully know that I could never handle a game dog. Too much drive and possible aggression towards other animals I would prefer to live without. I very much love their size and willingness above all to please it's human master, but I could never own one. Def. a dog for the experienced!
